A link tco the St Ann School site. St Ann Parish School, www.StAnnSchool.com, I worked on and modeled it after MetaCorp's site. One of the guys I work with developed the Metacorp site and I liked it so much I copied much of the layout. (Technologies: HTML, dynamic HTML, javascript, ASP, VBscript, access db)

Staples, a custom intranet shipping site built by a team of about eight developers plus a testing team of four. This site is availabe only to Staples stores and a custom step by step shipping interface that walks the associate through the shipping process. It is currently being used by all 850+ Staples stores across the United States. This site is a dynamic intranet. The difference between an intranet site and an internet site is that an intranet site is built for use by the people within an organization and an internet is built for the entire www internet. With an intranet the developer knows exactly what environment the application or site will be running in. With this knowledge the developer can code to that environment and make use of coding paradigms and features that would not necessarily be available for an internet, mainly because of the differences between browsers. (Technologies: HTML, DHTML, XML, asp, VB, style sheets, SQL Server7.0)

SafeStepTM.Net, www.SafeStep.Net This site is a dynamic web site built for podiatry and Medicare. The premis is that a person goes to their podiatrists or MD, they have Diabetes, history of foot ulser and Medicare. If all three of these conditions exists then the patient can get a pair of custom shoes at little or no cost. The Supplier has to subscribe to the sit and own the rights to order shoes. (Technologies: HTML, DHTML, asp, VB, style sheets, SQL Server7.0...)

Tom Krouch Plumbing and Heating, www.TKPlumbing.com This site is a static site built for my brother. He just wanted a place to call home on the net. Over time I plan to include pictures of his work. I have seen pictures of "pipes and pipes" all lined up perfectly. I worked for him for about a month once and he and his crew drove me crazy with "wipe the pipe after you sweat it", and "clean that mess up...". As much of a pain in the ass it was working for him, if I could afford him I would expect nothing less. (Technologies: HTML, style sheets)

Dr. Tom Margius, www.EyeDocTom.com This site is a static site built for an optometrist friend of mine. (Technologies: HTML, style sheets)

A link tco the St Ann School site.Personal Shipping System, www.pbrates.com This site is actually phase II of ValueShip. Personal Shipping System (PSS) has all the functionality of the ValueShip site plus much more. Additional features included in PSS are Shipping, Account Set-Up/Maintenance, and Reporting. With these new features a small business could join TranScape’s PSS for a monthly fee. Once a member of PSS the company could set up accounts for each of their employees. Each account has a role associated with it, and each role can have user defined privileges (i.e. Only ship with FedEx, can view reports...). This feature can be pretty complicated if fully used. Basically a small business would set up one account and everybody could use it. Then after the accounts are set-up the company could ship over the internet through different carriers (initially FedEx and UPS). Additionally, report can be generated to help the company watch their shipping accounts. Examples of some of the reports include: Detailed Shipping Report, Carrier Missed Commitment Report, and my favorite, The Carrier Hind-Sight Shopper. The Carrier Hind-Sight Shopper allows the user to select a single carrier and compare their current shipment history with the single carrier. ValueShip, www.valueship.com I worked on this site as a member of a 5 person development team. From the requirements stage thru to implementation the entire project took about 5 months. The main functionality of this first mile marker include: Multi carrier shopping, package tracking, and address cleansing. Visitors to this site can enter a package origin, destination and weight then select some options and have a list of carriers that meet the specified criteria. Package tracking is accomplished by entering a tracking number, selecting a carrier and clicking a button. There is also an option to send email when the package is delivered. Address cleansing provides the capability to check an entered address' validity. Some of the components used are proprietary software developed for other Pitney Bowes products. (Technologies: HTML, dynamic HTML, javascript, ASP, VBscript, sql server 70, MTS, MSMQ, VB, COM)

Link to the old (my first) site.

My first site, people.mags.net/laser,opens with a colorful page that points to some of my earlier endevors, and a link back to here. Visit if you have nothing better to do. (Technologies: HTML and one javascript)
